E Trade Commercial!

Advertisers love using kids for commercials

Doesn't this commercial just make you want to buy this car? That is precisely the logic that these companies use when creating their commercials. Children appeal to almost everyone. Who doesn't just love a happy child?

Volkswagen has recently embarked on this sort of advertising for there new Routan SUV. By usuing children in commerials it is appealing to parents. If a child could be so happy using and exploring the product being advertised, why can't you.
This sort of advertising always works. Another company that uses a baby in its commercial is E-trade a stock company. This is a perfect example that a child could market just about anything wonderfully!

Girls Night Out!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a girls night out! Let me tell you ladies...whether you know it or not, you need it!
At first I was a bit worried about leaving my hubby all alone with my princess. After all, who knows her better than I do? No one, of course. I was finally able to build up the strength to leave her and enjoy "me" time.
Let me tell you, it was well worth it. Us woman forget that we need time to gossip, complain and laugh with ladies that understand what we are going through. At the end of the night I felt rejuvenated and happier. After this night, my friends and I vowed to make it a once a month event! As a mom you tend to lose touch with those you once were close with pre-baby! Its nice to have those nights, if only for a few hours, where the "old" you comes back!

Did having children ruin your relationship with your husband?

I take it most of you can relate to the headline of this blog. Well, if you say no then you are just in denial, or just extremely lucky!
According to a study done by Life and Style Magazine many couples feel that their relationship with their partner made a turn for the worse once baby came on the scene. But now lets not entirely blame the new baby for all the drama! According to the research, couples only set aside one day a year to be kid free!
Parents become too concentrated on the needs of there little bundle of joy, that they forget about the other person that help create your prince/princess. Job related stress and overwhelming tiredness from being sleep deprived, also takes a toll on the relationship.
Experts suggest parents set aside at least one day a week to unwind and go on a date! YES, a DATE! This will help rekindle the romance and help keep you going the rest of your Life!

Germ Patrol!!

As Flu season arrives, every mom is already thinking about ways to keep their kid GERM FREE! There are alternative ways of keeping your child clear from this year's flu season. Moms everywhere could keep their child in the house the whole flu season, or they could simply send them off to another planet. Although these suggestions do sound enticing, they are in no way realistic.

According to Parenting magazine there are less extreme ways to help prevent your little monster from catching the ugly bug.

1. Have your child wash their hands before meals, after using the bathroom, playing outside, or whenever they come in contact with pets or dirt.

2. Always keeps baby wipes handy.

3. Teach your sickly angel to cough and sneeze into a tissue.

4. Don't let your children share personal objects.

5. Clean toys weekly.

6. Most importantly steer clear of toys in doctors offices!

Following this advice will not guarantee you a Flu free season, but it will lessen the chance!

BPA free???

What exactly is the deal with BPA? This is the question that many new mothers and experienced one's alike have been asking themselves recently.

BPA is a hormone-disrupting chemical considered to be potentially harmful to human health and the environment. It has been known that scratched and worn polycarbonate feeding bottles will leach this chemical into liquids.

Now, what does that mean to us mothers? Well, since this new study, many of the manufacturers of baby bottles have began making their bottles BPA free. Researchers said, in a study conducted last year, that this chemical can eventually lead to prostate cancer and breast cancer. Manufacturers of Bottles that use the chemical BPA argue that low dosage of this chemical is safe, and not potentially harmful.

BPA free bottles, like the ones shown in the picture, can be a bit pricier than regular bottles. Most mothers would agree that it is worth the extra cash to prevent a potemtial health risk.

Hot Toy of 2008

Fisher-Price pulled it off again! Once again they have found a new way to reinvent Elmo. This year the hot toy is the Elmo live! This Elmo is the most life like of all the Elmo’s. He talks, sings, tells stories, uses his arms to make gestures, and he also sits. His head moves while he is talking along with his mouth, which opens and closes.

I have been to several retailers and have seen plenty of these Elmo's to go around! With the economy hanging by a thread, and the current lose of jobs, who knows if this somewhat overpriced doll will be flying off the shelves this year!

Elmo Live retails at $59.99!

Zuma Stefani Rossdale finally makes debut!

It has been a few months now, and not until NOW do we get to see Zuma the little stud!
